April 2008… bored, tired of Shinjuku 2-chome, the Gay Area of Tokyo, Paul and Nicolas came up with the idea of organising the 1st Gay Tea Dance of Tokyo. They were very soon after joined by Maggie and DJ Young Richard. While London, Paris and New York gay scene are alive, it seems that Tokyo is sleeping…
They wanted to give the Tokyo Crowd a better place to party, a bigger space to chill out, and trendy location to meet other people… after meeting with most of the bars and restaurant in Town we finally decided to set our first party in the bar 57 in roppongi, re-name for the occasion Studio 57…
Many of you ask why this party is called CHURCH?… well the obvious reason is because it is a Sunday… and on Sunday well… we go to CHURCH… of course in this part of the world this is not often the case… and actually I wonder when was the last time we went to CHURCH…?
CHURCH is also a place to get together. Gay, Gay-Friendly, Boys and Boys and Girls….
This is the 11th time we are holding this event at 57.
Next Event – DELUXE EDITION December 5th from 6:00
